Applications Open for the WASZP UK and AS Performance Academy Men’s WASZP Squad
WASZP UK and the AS Performance Academy are now accepting applications for the Men’s WASZP Squad. This programme is designed to develop top-tier foiling sailors and promote excellence in the UK fleet.
Squad Objectives
The squad aims to deliver a leading foiling programme providing a pathway for GBR sailors to achieve success in the WASZP in 2025 and beyond.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for sailors who:
- Are passionate about sailing and have shown commitment to the sport.
- Work well in a team and are eager to learn and improve.
- Have the potential to excel, supported by proven results in WASZP or similar classes.
- Are committed to the demands of the programme.

Provisional Dates
Selected sailors will participate in a series of training camps. The following dates are provisional:
Camp 1: October 19/20 (Joint with AFP Women’s Squad)
Camp 2: November 30/December 1 (Joint with AFP U21 Squad)
Camp 3: February 1/2
Camp 4: March 8/9 (Joint with AFP U21 Squad)
Reselection Opportunity
Camp 5: April 12/13 (Joint with AFP Women’s Squad)
Camp 6: May 3/4 (Joint with AFP Women’s Squad)
Camp 7: May 31/June 1 (Joint with AFP U21 & Women’s Squad)
Camp 8: July 5/6 (Joint with AFP U21 & Women’s Squad)
Applications close on 25th August. Submit your application by the deadline to be considered for the squad.
